HOPNONYMOUS

Hopnonymous Brewing Company began as a specialty beer distributor, contract brewing food friendly beer styles at local breweries, and eventually building a 17-client roster including Crazee Burger, West Coast Tavern, and the many locations of Buona Forchetta. Hopnonymous Brewing 7705 Convoy Court, Kearny Mesa It’s while working for the latter that founder Remy Zurita got the idea to launch Hopnonymous, when Buona Forchetta’s owners expressed an interest in serving house beers.

Before long, Hopnonymous found its niche as an under the radar presence in the San Diego beer industry. But when the opportunity came up to move into a turnkey brewhouse and taproom, Zurita decided to take the brand public. “Okay,” the Dunkirk, France native recalls thinking, “let’s meet our customers. Let’s not be incognito anymore.”

  Awesome beer and amazing food outside. I like the space, isn't too crowded and is pretty chill. The food place oitside, Hit Different Asian BBQ, was SO good! A bit pricey but worth it! I got the shrimp and short ribs. So buttery and tender 🤤

  Amazing beer! Amazing staff! Great pop up food vendors! If you’re in the neighborhood stop by and grab an award winning beer. The beers are always rotating a few are always on tap.

  It's in the name.  If you like IPAs, then you'll love it.  They also have a nice list of alternatives if you're not into IPAs.  Only one per type, but they have it.

 Verified I feel obligated having visited almost every brewery in the county of San Diego to state that this brewery is #1 in my opinion. My opinion regards the amazing IPAs that Hunter brews here. If you like IPAs especially west coast style look no further. Additionally, the customer service and friendliness of Remy the owner is beyond exceptional! He creates an atmosphere unlike any other brewery, it feels like Cheers when I visit. Furthermore, the Vietnamese food you can order while there is phenomenal! Lastly, the food trucks/catering company's who Remy and Hunter invite on the weekends serve delicious food. Do not pass up this brewery if you are visiting San Diego or a native. I promise you won't regret trying it out and are likely to become a repeat customer. Cheers!!!!!

  Enjoyed the Rad Santa winter warmer. Hard to find winter/Christmas ales in Cali. This one was great. And we learned they barrel age half the batch for release for Christmas in July. Great music too!

 Verified I have to say that of all the breweries I have been to, and there have been a lot, none compare to Hopenomonous The huge beer selection is amazing, the quality of the beer is perfect.  The only thing that is better than the beer is the staff and especially the owner.  Every time I go there my expectations are exceeded on every level.

 Verified Found this place by accident while our car was being repaired. Hit the jackpot! Fun atmosphere, great service and really good beer! No food but there is a great sandwich place next door. They were more than happy to answer all my silly questions about brewing beer and made us feel very welcome. Great beer selection! Fun place to visit. We will be back:)

 Verified First of all, the beer is top notch. They have a very broad selection and every single one is worth a trip back. Secondly, the service is maybe even better. That's hard for me because I think so highly of their beers. You feel like a friend on your first visit. You're like family on the second. Finally, the ambiance is amazing.  Verified Tasty beers, cool vibes, and amazing food on Wednesdays! They rotate vendors daily but Lucy Mae Kitchen on Wednesday is my go to! You have to get the crab cakes and wings. They go well with all the beers on tap

  Great local brewery in Kearny Mesa where it used to be another great craft beer place called Council. Owner/Operator of Hopnonymous seems very passionate about his beer and his staff are friendly and helpful. They have variety of beers and price is reasonable although it has been creeping up a bit. There are different food trucks rotating daily and their bbq is pretty good. Cheers 🍻 Update 3/2023: Still one of my favorite brewery in San Diego! They make variety of great tasting beers and rotate their taps constantly. Owner & staffs are friendly and I want to support their venture throughout. Cheers to your success🍻 4.7/5 ⭐️

 Verified I have been to Hopnonymous twice. The first time I went because I knew there were a few brewing co's near my house that I had not been to, and I searched on Untappd. I found Hopnonymous and thought, "give it a shot" never having heard of it before. The first time I visited, the beer blew my socks off. The second time (today) the beer blew my socks off again. Hard to keep your socks on in that place. Remy runs an amazing brewery that produces beers of ALL kinds. Everything from dark tasty adjuncts to dank hoppy traditional west coast beers. I highly recommend stopping by. If you're lucky Moose his Cane Corso pup will be there, such a good dog!

  Best out of state brewery we've been to in a long time outside of Milwaukee, WI. Will absolutely be back & recommend to any beer lover coming to the San Diego, CA area.
